TRADER CLOCK - Unregistered Most stock market information systems report times and sales, news stories and countless other events in New York military time. If you want to know how long ago an event happened, you have to subtract or add by your time zone difference (assuming you don't live in the New York time zone) and then convert that to military time. I got tired of doing all that math while I was trying to concentrate on the market. That's why I wrote Trader Clock. It had to be small, because most market information systems require lots of screen real estate and it had to sip system resources, because most market information systems suck down those system resources. ---- Trader Clock offers the following benefits: Small size - Easily fits in a title bar or beneath icons in the lower left portion of the screen. Sips system resources - uses only 3% of system resources (the unregistered version can use 5%) and polls your CPU for the time only once every five seconds. This lets your CPU concentrate on more important things like getting your security prices as fast as possible. Can't get lost beneath other windows, it's always on top. Easy access to system resources through the about box. Remembers where you last left it on your screen. When you exit Trader Clock or Windows, it writes its window position to TDRCLOCK.INI which is always in your Windows Directory. Sounds alarm 5 minutes before the market opening (3 beeps) and at the opening (1 beep). It does the same thing 5 minutes before the close and at the close. Is a great little clock even if you don't trade! ---- OPERATION: Move Trader Clock by dragging on the button. Toggle color from yellow to white by double clicking on the button. Exit Trader clock by double clicking in the main time/date window. Access the About Box by double clicking in the New York time window. ---- NOTES: If you decrease your video resolution, you may not be able to see the clock, depending on where it was on your screen when you changed resolution. If this happens, here is how to get it back in view. Exit Trader Clock by using Task List, then edit TDRCLOCK.INI in your Windows directory. Change the TopPos and LeftPos to 1000, save the file, and restart Trader Clock. ---- REGISTRATION INFO: Registration gets you the latest version and no pesky About Box on program execution!
